Hey guys! I found another meme to do while I'm taking a break from sketching a request. If you don't know already, I love to read. So in this meme you'll learn what books I love most and hate most. Enjoy!
01 - A book series you wish had gone on longer OR a book series you wish would just freaking end already (or both!)
Gone On Longer: Harry Potter. Can never get enough of that series.
Just Freaking End: Eragon. The last book actually came out two months ago and I have no desire to read it.
02 - A book or series you wish more people were reading and talking about
Maze Runner! This is such an awesome series. Especially if you liked The Hunger Games! Very quick paced, lots of action and the romance is minimal so guys will love it too!
03 - The best book you've read in the last 12 months
The Hunger Games, no questions asked.
04 - Your favorite book or series ever
Agh. This is hard. I'm torn between The Hunger Games and Harry Potter because both are so good.
05 - A book or series you hate
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. It's part of The Mortal Instruments series. The 3 books before it in the series were pretty decent, but this book was particularly bad. It was repetitive and the main characters became really annoying. She didn't even need to write another book for the series. She could have finished it in the previous book no problem.
06 - Favorite book of your favorite series OR your favorite book of all time
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix
07 - Least favorite plot device employed by way too many books you actually enjoyed otherwise
Love Triangles. Every book I read nowadays has a love triangle between a girl and two boys. Twilight, Hunger Games, Mortal Instruments, Infernal Devices, Iron Fey, Matched, the list goes on. It's old. It's not exciting. Stop doing it.
08 - A book everyone should read at least once
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. Awesome book. Great plot and all action, no real romance.
09 - Best scene ever
When Percy Jackson kisses Annabeth Chase at the bottom of the canoe lake in The Last Olympian.
10 - A book you thought you wouldn't like but ended up loving
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. It's a children's book that I had to read for a class. It was awesome. I was absolutely hooked from the very beginning. I love it!
11 - A book that disappointed you
The Fellowship of the Ring. I read it a few years ago when I was in high school and I could barely get through it. It was too dry and drawn out for me. I loved The Hobbit though. Perhaps I'll reread Fellowship and have different thoughts about it.
12 - A book or series of books you've read more than five times
Harry Potter.
13 - Favorite childhood book OR current favorite YA book (or both!)
Childhood: Firegold by Dia Calhoun. Still love this book. Great fantasy story.
YA: The Hunger Games (duh)
14 - Favorite character in a book (of any sex or gender)
Finnick Odair from The Hunger Games and Ron Weasley from Harry Potter.
15 - Your "comfort" book
The Bible, of course.
16 - Favorite poem or collection of poetry
I love The Surrender Tree by Margarita Engle. It's a collection of poems that tell the story of a woman who fights in Cuba's battle for independence. It is originally in Spanish, but even though the word's don't rhyme and I'm sure it sounds lovelier in Spanish the poems are raw and poignant.
17 - Favorite story or collection of stories (short stories, novellas, novelettes, etc.)
Nothing comes to mind. I've read short stories in school, but I haven't found a collection that looks interesting.
18 - Favorite beginning scene in a book
The Graveyard Book starts off with a murder. It is so creepy and tense. Awesome way to start off the book.
19 - Favorite book cover (bonus points for posting an image!)
Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan.

20 - Favorite kiss
Percy and Annabeth kissing at the bottom of the canoe lake.
21 - Favorite romantic/sexual relationship (including asexual romantic relationships)
So, so many. It's so hard to choose. I would say Katniss and Peeta. I was rooting for Peeta all the way. Didn't give Gale a second thought. I love Peeta.
22 - Favorite non-sexual relationship (including asexual romantic relationships)
I'm assuming this means friends? I love Hermione and Harry's friendship. They are as close as you can get without actually being in a relationship. They would do anything for each other, they understand each other, they love each other.
23 - Most annoying character ever
Meghan Chase from The Iron Fey series. She is stupidly helpless, unnaturally clumsy and over obsessive. She has yet to do anything logical or smart in the series and she can't do anything on her own. She's useless.
24 - Best quote from a novel
"If we burn, you burn with us." Mockingjay
25 - Any five books from your "to be read" stack
Looking for Alaska by John Green
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
26 - OMG WTF? OR most irritating/awful/annoying book ending
Harry Potter # 5 and #6 when Sirius and Dumbledore die. I was really upset and mad that she killed them. I understand why Dumbledore had to die, but I think Sirius was too much.
27 - If a book contains ______, you will always read it (and a book or books that contain it)!
Witty writing; logic. I need humor and some form of logic no matter how twisted. If characters are motivated by logical ideas and the world/scene is logical then I'm easy to please. A book/series that has this is The Hunger Games, Maze Runner, and Harry Potter.
What I can't stand is too much fluff. The Iron Fey has too much fluffiness and Meghan drives me crazy.
28 - First favorite book or series obsession
Harry Potter. Got the first book right after it came out and have grown up with the series.
29 - Saddest character death OR best/most satisfying character death (or both!)
Saddest: Finnick. I was shocked and overwhelmed and I cried shamelessly when he died. I did not think he was going to die.
Satisfying: Bellatrix Lestrange. She deserved what she got.
30 - What book are you reading right now?
I'm about to start Ender's Game. My friend lent it to me on Kindle so I have 2 weeks to read it.
Tell me some of your favorite books! I would love to hear about whatever you are reading!
